Join us this winter for an exciting blend of technology, creativity, and outdoor activities. Our program is designed to help children develop essential digital skills while maintaining a healthy balance with physical activities and social interaction.

Our Winter Holiday Program runs from July 10-14, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM daily. The program is designed for children aged 8-14 and includes a balanced mix of technology workshops, creative projects, and outdoor activities.

What to Bring
- Lunch and snacks (no nuts please)
- Water bottle
- Hat and sunscreen
- Comfortable clothing and closed shoes
- Laptop (optional - we provide equipment)

- Drop-off: 8:30-9:00 AM, Pick-up: 3:30-4:00 PM
- Extended care available (additional fee)
- All staff have Working with Children Checks
- First aid trained staff on-site

Daily Schedule
Day 1: Computer Fundamentals & Digital Citizenship
Morning
Computer Basics
Introduction to computer hardware, software, and operating systems. Hands-on exploration of different devices and their components.
Digital Citizenship
Learning about online safety, privacy, and responsible digital behavior through interactive activities and discussions.
Afternoon
Team Building Games
Fun outdoor activities designed to help students get to know each other and develop teamwork skills.
Digital Art Basics
Introduction to digital drawing tools and techniques. Students will create their first digital artwork.
Day 2: AI Exploration & Creative Thinking
Morning
AI Fundamentals
Introduction to artificial intelligence concepts through age-appropriate examples and interactive demonstrations.
AI Art Creation
Exploring AI-assisted art tools to create unique digital artwork with guidance on prompt engineering.
Afternoon
Creative Problem Solving
Engaging in design thinking activities that encourage innovative approaches to everyday challenges.
Outdoor STEM Challenges
Participating in hands-on outdoor activities that apply science and engineering principles in fun ways.
Day 3: Collaboration Tools & Team Projects
Morning
Digital Collaboration
Learning to use online collaboration tools like Google Docs, Slides, and digital whiteboards for team projects.
Project Planning
Introduction to project management concepts and tools. Students will plan their team projects.
Afternoon
Team Project Kickoff
Students begin working on their team projects, applying the collaboration tools they learned in the morning.
Outdoor Team Challenges
Physical activities that reinforce teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Day 4: Web Design & Digital Storytelling
Morning
Web Design Basics
Introduction to HTML and CSS through user-friendly platforms. Students will learn about web page structure and styling.
Building a Simple Website
Hands-on workshop where students create their first web page using drag-and-drop tools and basic code.
Afternoon
Digital Storytelling
Learning to create engaging digital stories using multimedia tools, combining text, images, and audio.
Team Project Work
Continued work on team projects with a focus on incorporating web design and storytelling elements.
Day 5: Project Completion & Showcase
Morning
Project Finalization
Teams complete their projects, adding final touches and preparing for presentation.
Presentation Skills
Workshop on effective presentation techniques and public speaking, with practice sessions.
Afternoon
Project Showcase
Students present their team projects to the group, demonstrating what they've learned and created.
Celebration & Certificates
Closing ceremony with certificate presentation, reflection activities, and celebration of achievements.
